It’s that time again – time for all the mobile geeks in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to get together, drink some beer, and geek out over phones, gadgets, netbooks, whatever other mobile toy you want to bring to talk about.
Mobile Geeks of Fort Worth #2 is all set for Tuesday, August 3rd, at 6 PM at the Flying Saucer bar in downtown Fort Worth. If you’re not familiar with The Flying Saucer, they’ve got a whole wall of beers on tap, so there’s something for everyone. They also have solid free WiFi and a nice central location. I’ll probably get there a bit earlier, but officially we’ll say 6 PM.
You can RSVP at the official Mobile Geeks of Fort Worth #2 Facebook event, and while you’re there, make sure you join the Mobile Geeks of Fort Worth group so you can keep up with the chatter and help us plan the next event. I’ve setup an easy short-url: http://bit.ly/mgofw2 to share with your friends.
If you’re not familiar with it, you can check out the Mobile Geeks of Fort Worth Facebook group, but basically, for the uninitiated among you, the MGoFW does exactly what it says on the tin. Whether you work in the industry or not, if you like to get geeky when it comes to all things mobile then MGoFW is the place for you. It’s an informal meetup – there’s no corporate sponsorship, sales pitches, or anything like that. It’s just a group of mobile-focused people getting together to geek out.
The first Mobile Geeks of Fort Worth turned out great for a first-time, so we’re shooting to have an even better #2. you can join the Mobile Geeks of Fort Worth Facebook group here: http://bit.ly/mgofw.
