Taking Over A Brand New Role

Tomorrow I’m going to hop into my truck and head down to Austin, TX, for SXSW 2011 (aka ‘southby’). I made the trip two years ago in 2009, but missed out last year due to some unfortunate scheduling conflicts. This year, however, I’m making the trek on southbound I-35 in a more professional capacity – as RadioShack’s new Social Media Community Manager!

In this new role, I’ll be managing RadioShack’s presence on various social media outlets, including Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, and even a newly-launched blog. I’ll be joining Adrian and Sarah, who’ve been handling it all by themselves, to really kick things into high gear, and I’m excited about what we already have planned.

RadioShack already has some cool stuff going down at SXSW – including a really neat Dorkbot sponsorship, which you can read more about here. We’re also going to be doing some giveaways and other fun things, so be sure to follow @RadioShack on Twitter to keep up.

Of course, I’ll still be managing this site, and while the content mix might change slightly, you can know that everything published here is my own thoughts and opinions – no one edits but me.
